Benny Round 4 v West Coast, Subiaco

18/04/2016 By Andy 1 Comment

5: Jack. Remained completely dignified while many of the team didn’t ‘come to play’ (my favourite footy cliche). Stuck to his job and beat his man. 4: Alex. Turned it around after a poor performance last week. Rock solid. 3: Trent. Remained focused throughout the game. Worked hard. Wasn’t his night, but he stuck at it. 2: Daniel. I want to give him the nickname of ‘one-touch’. He takes the ball so cleanly, smoothly, silently.”

Fair enough leaving the one vote blank.

I liked Dave Astbury’s game (although he had at least one shocker turn-over, and got injured again, sigh) and I reckon Kamdyn McIntosh never stopped trying; by my views are clouded. I was watching at home, alone, and midway through the first quarter sought comfort in gin. Three drinks later…. pure melancholia.
