I woke up this morning feeling horribly tense and miserable. By the time we had plunged to be 28-2 down in the first quarter, I was actually feeling OK. Bugger it, I thought, its just footy. Then Ty finished the quarter with a goal, then Griggs opened the second with another, then we kicked seven more and went out to a 24-point lead. An incredibly creditable performance with so many babies in the side, against an opposition who never gave us an easy ball all day.
All the knockers of Vickery, should watch this game. He was a very good player
He was a terrific set shot. I don’t think he was the clearest thinker and his post-footy capers with Jake King might bear that out. Clarko clearly rated him.
