This one really gets the heart going. Played it again yesterday and sent it to Lids on Twitter, just to remind him how wonderful we were that game. I can’t believe all the space we have to run around in! Where are all the scrums we have today? Kane Johnson’s tackle at the crucial moment is perfect. Lids’ run and kick is perfect, Stafford’s dish to Richo was perfect. The Tigers wanted to win. So win they did.
Never liked Stafford much but his little give to Richo really caught my eye too. Footy smarts that I don’t associate with Hampson or Vickery. But you know who I think has got them? Big O.
Then again Stafford had some real mongrel in him which hasn’t been a feature of our ruckmen since.
